How to schedule Instagram Reels using PostFlow
To schedule and publish a IG Reel using PostFlow, follow steps below:
- Log in to your PostFlow account
- Click
Create new post
button - Select your Instagram account in the left sidebar.
- In the Instagram settings section, select Reel as the post type.
- Click on the picture icon and select the video to upload.

Add content to your post.- Select a date to publish your instagram post.
- Adjust other settings for the post, for example, add other Instagram users as collaborators. Lastly click Schedule post button to schedule your Instagram Reel.
- Hooray! You just scheduled your Instagram Reel.
Reels video specifications:
- recommended aspect ratio 9:16
- recommended upload size: 1080x1920 pixels
- supported video formats are .mov and .mp4
- duration: 3 sec to 15 minutes (recommended 5 to 90 seconds)
- file size: 512MB maximum
How to upload Reels cover - thumbnail
If you don't upload a cover, Instagram will select it from the video, so a cover isn't necessary.

- recommended aspect ratio 9:16
- recommended upload size: 1080x1920 pixels
- format jpeg (.jpg)
- file size: 8MB maximum
Instagram Reels cover recommendation
Instagram will display the cover in multiple resolutions across the app. Remember that the Reels you share on your profile will get cropped to 1:1 in your grid feed and 4:5 in the Instagram Home Feed.
We recommend using an image size of 1080×1920 pixels and keeping important info within the central 1:1 area.
